ENTERTAINMENT NEWS (CNN) — "The Simpsons" has been around long enough to have a few years on its newest guest star.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Justin Bieber will be the latest celeb to get "Simpsonized" on the long-running animated Fox series.
Bieber apparently did a tweet-and-delete about the news, reportedly posting to his Twitter account Tuesday, "just did a voice over for the SIMSPONS!!! #swaggy," and executive producer Al Jean has since confirmed the guest appearance.
The 18-year-old pop star will portray himself in an upcoming episode called "The Fabulous Faker Boy," which will revolve around the teen singer trying and failing to enter a talent competition that also features Bart on piano.
"Draw your own conclusions," Jean told EW of the storyline, adding that Bieber's turn on "The Simpsons" will be a brief one. "It's a cameo, but all of his fans should watch every minute of the show," Jean said.
Bieber's "Simpsons" appearance is expected to air in 2013, as part of the new season that will launch September 30.
