UPDATE: Arrest made in N Ardenwood Drive shooting death

UPDATE (4:00 p.m.):  Eric Johnson, 25, is now in custody after police received a tip from Crime Stoppers.

Ljean Mckneely, BRPD spokesperson, says Johnson was arrested earlier today in the 3200 block of Plank Road.

Johnson will be booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison and charged with 2nd Degree Murder and Illegal Use of a Weapon.

ORIGINAL STORY: (1:24 p.m.) Detectives are looking for Eric Johnson, who allegedly killed a man on North Ardenwood Drive.

BRPD spokesperson, Ljean Mckneely says Johnson shot Kedrick Ricard, 28, of Baton Rouge, multiple times around 6:20 p.m. on August 12. 2014.

Ricard died later that night at a local hospital.

Police now have a warrant for Johnson’s arrest on the charge of Second Degree Murder
