Father admits stabbing son to Sabine Parish Sheriff's deputies
MANY, LOUISIANA (KMSS) — A Sabine Parish father was arrested after he allegedly stabbed his son during a dispute.
Thomas L. Shoemaker, 46, of Many, was taken by deputies on Sunday following the incident. Authorities said they were first alerted to the crime after he brought his 21-year-old son to a local hospital with a stab wound.
Shoemaker later admitted to stabbing his son. The suspect claims he committed the act when his son jumped on him.
Officials booked Shoemaker into the Sabine Parish Detention Center for aggravated second degree battery. The victim was taken to a Shreveport hospital in fair condition.
