Rain pushes out by Saturday morning

Friday, December 19, 2014 - 5:10pm

Rainy conditions continue into the beginning of our weekend, as an area of low pressure moves from west to east just south of the Louisiana coastline. We'll see continued showers and possibly a thunderstorm Friday night into Saturday. The rain comes to an end early on Saturday morning, but the cloud cover sticks around for at least the first portion of the day. By the afternoon, we will see a little sun peak through. Another disturbance moves across the area late on Sunday, bringing a slight chance for showers Sunday night/Monday morning. A strong cold front moves in on Tuesday, bringing us a good chance for showers and thunderstorms. This front will clear us out and cool us down just in time for Christmas Eve! -Meteorologist Rachael Penton
